An example of a successful bid led by Dr Craig French for The John Muir Trust –

to compile a development plan for a £0.4 million Heritage Lottery Fund grant that included: planning, development and implementation of stakeholder survey and analysis; provision of a research analysis of John Muir Award partnerships in England – current and potential; an audit of strategic opportunities (including key organisations and key contacts) to link the John Muir Award to national agendas and policies; the development of an action plan – based on HLF application targets and existing work plans; a contribution to budget projections– based on HLF application and activity plan; and a provision of an evidence base for grant application and recommendations for models of delivery.
